Are you looking for a German cookie recipe that is suitable for Mother’s day or even Valentine’s Day? Here it is: German Heart Shaped Cookies. They are filled with raspberry jelly jam (Gelee in German, a jam that is made out of the fruit juice and does not contain any fruit particles). We recommend to get a European jelly because the most US jellies like from Smuckers contain high fructose corn syrup. Alternatively you also can use jam: In a pot warm the jam, press through a fine sieve to get rid of the seeds and the fruit pieces. Happy Baking!
