Brownies are like a national treat in America, and they have found their way to Germany as well. The German version is less sweet but also rich and very “chocolaty”, Happy Baking!
100 g semi-sweet chocolate
100 g butter
75 g walnuts
4 eggs
125 g sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
100 g flour
– Chop chocolate coarsely and toigether with butter melt on very low heat.
– Let cool off a bit.
– Chop walnuts coarsely.
– Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until bubbly.
– Add the flour, then the chocolate and the walnuts.
– Fill the dough into a brownie form of 20x20cm, and spread even.
– Pre-heat oven to 230 F.
– Bake for 20 min.
Tip
Heat the walnuts with a bit of sugar nd cinnamon until they are slightly caramelized. Then add to the dough.
