What makes a German dinner German? Is it the side dish, the gravy or certain seasonings? It’s very simple: German dinners are often made with meat and include savory side dishes such as dumplings, French Fries, Spätzle, salads, other pasta or potatoes such as mashed, fried or boiled. The seasoning is mild and not overwhelming, the ingredients are simple. No need for flavor enhancers or additional colors.
