The German Holiday Kinder punch or “punsch” is for children when adults enjoy a glass of Gluehwein (mulled hot red wine). Or when you prefer a non-alcoholic holiday beverage. 1/2 l tea (hibiscus, red fruit, Christmas tea, any tea that is red)
1/4 l apple juice
8 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
juice of 1 lemon
juice of 1/2 orange
sugar to taste (Stevia, agave, honey or raw sugar)
orange peel flavor or the peel of an organic orange
– Make the tea and let it soak for 8 min, use your favorite red tea (it tea contains sugar use less sugar to sweeten the tea, in any case be moderate with sugar; too much sugar is unhealthy for children).
– add apple juice and all spices.
– warm it but don’t bring to a boil.
– let rest for 10 min; remove the spices with a sieve and serve hot.
