Gluehwein in winter is like ice cream in summer! Fall and winter is the time for warm and hot beverages. In Germany the most famous warm beverage recipe is a hot spiced (or mulled) wine punch named “Gluehwein”. In Scandinavia they call it Gloegg but it is without alcohol. Gluehwein tastes the best when drinking it outside when the temperature is low, when it is freezing cold. You can find the Gluehwein on every Christmas market where it is sold at a booth.
Gluehwein smells good and tastes good. It belongs to winter and Christmas. Happy Cooking!
